Windsor police searching for man wanted in alleged kidnapping case

Man violated court-ordered release conditions while facing charges stemming from an April incident.

Windsor police are asking for the public’s help locating a 26-year-old man who is wanted in connection with an alleged kidnapping and armed assault earlier this year. Raul Antonio Huezo is featured in the Windsor Police Service’s “Wanted in Windsor” initiative after investigators alleged he violated court-ordered release conditions while facing charges stemming from an April incident. Police said a man went to visit an acquaintance at a home in the 2500 block of Lauzon Road shortly before 1 a.m. on April 16.

Investigators allege the complainant was confronted by three masked suspects armed with firearms, who threatened and assaulted him before stealing his money and personal belongings. The victim was then allegedly held inside the residence against his will. Police said the suspects later tried to force him into a vehicle, but he escaped and sought help from a nearby resident.

Following the investigation, officers identified Huezo as one of the suspects. He was arrested and later released on conditions requiring him to live with and remain in the presence of his surety. Police allege Huezo has since breached those conditions and is now wanted on multiple charges, including failing to comply with a release order.
