Three people are injured and five have been arrested following an early morning shooting near Toronto’s waterfront. Police say the incident happened shortly after 3 a.m. in the area of Polson Street and Cherry Street. It’s unclear what led up to the shooting but police say when officers arrived they located three people with gunshot wounds, adding that all have been brough to hospital.
All injuries are believed to be non-life threatening. So far, officials say they have arrested five people and that there is a “heavy police presence in the area.” There is no word of any road closures in the area but police are asking anyone with information to come forward and contact them.
