A man has been arrested after a man in his 60s was stabbed in downtown Toronto on Thursday afternoon. Toronto police say they got a call shortly after 2:30 p.m. for a stabbing near George Street and Gerrard Street East, near Jarvis Street. When they arrived, officers found a man with stab wounds, police say.
Toronto paramedics tell CP24 that the victim was transported to the hospital in serious but stable condition. Police say a male suspect was shortly taken into custody. The circumstances that led to the stabbing are under investigation.
