Most courses in the city are open so far, with the exception of Silver Creek

Planning to hit the links today? So far one Sault-area golf course is closed. Silver Creek Golf Course is shutdown for the day due to the wildfire smoke that is inundating the area.

“We will reopen as soon as conditions improve. Thank you for your understanding and please stay safe,” the golf course said on social media. Crimson Ridge Golf Course is open for tee times.

The range will close at 6 p.m. Sault Country Club is open, but the pro shop said they’ve had a lot of cancellations due to the smoke. Experts have said not to work out today, but if you are planning to play golf you should definitely wear a mask due to the particulate in the air.
