Boox Go 6 Gen 2 Custard is now available

The BOOX Go 6 (Gen II) in Custard is now available in the EU and features a distinct, serene pastel yellow casing paired with a clean white front bezel. The post Boox Go 6 Gen 2 Custard is now available first appeared on Good e-Reader .

The Onyx Boox Go Gen 2 was announced in early June and started shipping at the end of the month. It is a compact, 6-inch e-reader that blends ultra-portability with the flexibility of an open Android ecosystem. Its standout upgrade over the first generation is the introduction of capacitive stylus support for basic note-taking and book annotation.

This is the first Go model to feature many different colors for personalization. It launched with Plum, Stone, and Shell, and the Custard one was launching at a later date. Custard is finally available in the BOOX EU Shop, but the USA Shop has it greyed out and cannot be ordered.

It remains to be seen if Custard will launch in the USA at all in the near future or if it will eventually be launched on Amazon. The Onyx Boox Go 6 features a 6-inch HD Carta 1300. This is a dedicated e-reader with no note-taking functionality and only a black-and-white display.

The resolution is 1448×1072 with 300 PPI. The screen is flush with the bezel and protected by a layer of glass. It has both warm and excellent lighting.

The e-reader’s color scheme comes in four different colors: Plum, Shell, Stone, and Custard. You can read day or night thanks to the front-lit display.

Underneath the hood is a 2.0 GHz Octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage. If this is not enough, there is also an SD card slot. Thanks to Wi-Fi (2.4GHz + 5GHz), you can surf the web and install apps, and Bluetooth 5.0 is available for listening to audiobooks, music, and podcasts.

Talk to your friends on Discord or WhatsApp with the built-in microphone. A USB-C port transfers data and is powered by a 1500 mAh Li-ion Polymer battery.
