The Windsor International Airport says it is monitoring the possibility of a WestJet strike. WestJet flies daily out of Windsor to Calgary and officials have confirmed they are watching the labour dispute. More than 99 per cent of flight attendants with the airline voted in favour of strike action with a walkout legally possible.
That could happen as early as Aug. 2. “I know that airlines want to fly and people want to work,” said Mark Galvin, CEO of the airport. “I certainly hope that there’ll be a resolution and there will be no impact.”
