There is a wildfire burning out of control east of Kelowna that was discovered yesterday. The fire is currently at three hectares in size at Dale Creek, near Joe Rich off Highway 33, according to the BC Wildfire Service. The fire was discovered on July 16 and the cause is still under investigation.
BC Wildfire has responded with three helicopters and 16 firefighters. The last update from BC Wildfire Service was at 8 a.m. today. So far, there are no area restrictions or evacuation alerts.
