A pressure test on a new condenser at the Westlock Rotary Spirit Centre will force a partial closure of the facility for half a day on Wednesday, July 15. Town officials said the test is scheduled from 1 to 5 p.m., with affected areas of the centre shutting down starting at 12:30 p.m. Until 5:30 p.m., several outdoor areas will be closed to the public. This includes a small section of the Rotary Trail east of the facility; the grassy area south of the centre, north of the tennis courts and along the Ag Society track; and the east side of the parking lot from the waste bins to the grass.
A number of indoor amenities will also be unavailable during the testing period, including the indoor walking track, the fitness area change rooms and washrooms, the arena, the men’s field house washroom and arena Training Room 2. While the field house will remain open, officials urge visitors to use the main entrance to access the facility, follow all posted signage and stay out of restricted areas while testing is underway. Regular access to the entire facility is expected to resume after 5:30 p.m.
