Trenton’s Festival on the Bay returns for three days

Perennial Quinte West favourite promises lively summer activities for all ages, say organizers.

Article content The annual three-day Festival on the Bay in Downtown Trenton starts Thursday and will fill the city core with a sidewalk sale extravaganza, food, music and fireworks. In Quinte West, Trenton Downtown Business Improvement Area organizers have scheduled a slew of events at the traditional summer gathering along the entrance to the Trent Severn Waterway. In addition to the longstanding annual Sidewalk Sale featuring local merchants on Dundas Street for three days, a street market will also give vendors an opportunity to tout their wares. The Kinsmen Pancake Breakfast begins at 9 a.m. Thursday through Saturday. An array of amazing fireworks by Mystical Distributing over Centennial Park at dusk on Friday is expected to once again wow crowds with amazing images etched into the night sky.

Dragon Boat Races will take to the water at 9 a.m. Saturday. Performers and buskers will be on hand in the downtown.
