Tattoo fundraiser helps animals in need in Waterloo Region

Anyone who has been thinking of getting a new tattoo can get inked while supporting the Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo & Stratford Perth.

Anyone who has been thinking of getting a new tattoo can get inked while supporting the Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo & Stratford Perth. The Humane Society has teamed up with local tattoo artists for their event Fur-Ever Ink’d on July 25. Tattoo studios in Kitchener, Waterloo and Wilmot Township are offering exclusive, flash tattoos for $125 each.

They are donating their time and fees for the event, so 100 per cent of the proceeds will go to animals in need. Last year was the first time the Humane Society hosted the event and over 150 people got a tattoo for the cause. This year’s participating studios include Exotic Skin Shop, Gauntlet Tattoo, Ryan H Tattoo, True Ink Tattoo & Piercing Studio and Vendetta Studio.

The event will be hosted at the Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Waterloo St. Jacobs at 55 Benjamin Road in Waterloo. Tattoos will be done on a first-come, first-served basis from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
