Guelph Police have charged a Brampton man with stunt driving, after officials say he was caught speeding and was forced to pull over. At 12:20 p.m. in Guelph on Thursday, police say they were patrolling near the area of Wellington St West by Hanlon Parkway when they saw a van speeding. The 24-year-old man was caught on radar by police going 103 km/h in a posted 60 km/h zone.

After being pulled over, police discovered that the man’s driver’s licence was suspended. The driver is being charged with speeding, stunt driving and driving while suspended. His licence was also suspended a further 30 days, and his van was impounded for two weeks.

A stunt driving conviction will attract a minimum licence suspension of one year, a minimum fine of $2,000 and six demerit points.
