Southside fire dept. promotes two dedicated volunteers Published 8:45 am Wednesday, July 15, 2026 The Southside Volunteer Fire Department Society is celebrating the contributions and skill development of its crew after the department announced promotions of two dedicated volunteers Kian Alexis and Logan Probst. Kian Alexis has risen to lieutenant fire fighter and Logan Probst has taken on the role of deputy fire chief.

“On behalf of Chief Evan Plesko, the SouthSide Volunteer Fire Department Society, and the rest of our SouthSide Fire Volunteers, please join us in congratulating Kian Alexis and Logan Probst,” the society stated on a recent Facebook post. “Thank you for your dedication and service!”
