Trevor Biemans who is feeling confident the team has created another excellent weekend for attendees of the “greatest party on dirt.” “We always try and make the experience similar to the years previous so everybody has a chance to enjoy it,” said Biemans. “We have some new food trucks this year, the beer gardens is a little bit bigger and of course there’s new silent and live auction items this year for everybody to bid on.”

Largely, party-goers can expect a classic Quonset Days experience. “For the most part you can expect the same Quonset Days experience with a few new flavours.” While the committee doesn’t have a hard fundraising goal, they do hope to keep a consistent level of fundraising with previous years, to build on the over $1 million that the event has already raised for ALS research over the past 15 years.

“When we’re doing set up, we were trying to think when we bought some of these: some of our big tents for example are over 12 years old,” said Biemans. “This is the 13th time they’ve been set up. We used to do everything with just small garage tents.”

While all of the camping space is booked, there is still room at the party itself for plenty more, said Biemans, with tickets available at the door. Those attending are encouraged to arrive early to ensure their parking space, or to take the shuttle to avoid the hassle. 10 -9
