Quebec’s anti-pimping squad made four arrests at the end of June for soliciting sexual services from a minor. A Quebec provincial police (SQ) news release says that the four men, aged 30 to 56, engaged in acts in the Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu area and will face grooming and obtaining sex from a minor charges. “This operation targeted the solicitation of sexual services from minors.

However, contrary to what some people believe, the solicitation and purchase of sexual services from adults also constitute a criminal offense throughout Canada,” said anti-pimping squad (EILP) head, Captain Annie Bergeron. Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu police assisted on the file. The EILP squad includes the SQ, RCMP, and Montreal, Quebec City, Laval, Gatineau and Longueuil police services.
