Police are York Region are seeking witnesses and information following a single-vehicle collision where two people were ejected from a vehicle, one of them suffering life-threatening injuries. The crash happened on Thursday near Bloomington and Kennedy roads in the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville. York Regional Police said they were called to that area at 12:30 a.m. for reports of a collision, where a Mercedes SUV left the roadway and its two occupants were ejected from the vehicle.
They say the male driver was taken to the hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries. The vehicle’s female passenger, meanwhile, was transported to the hospital with critical injuries, police said. This investigation is ongoing.
