A P.E.I. man has died after a collision Monday afternoon in Cavendish involving a motorcycle and a transport truck. The deceased man, 29 years old, was from Queens County, according to a news release from P.E.I. RCMP. There were no details about the driver of the tractor-trailer.
Queen District RCMP responded to the crash at about 3:45 p.m. July 23, which occurred on Route 6 near the Raspberry Point Oyster Bar. Island EMS and New Glasgow Fire Department also responded, as well as an RCMP collision reconstructionist. Temporary traffic control measures were set up at the scene.
The matter remains under investigation, however RCMP said it does not appear drugs or alcohol are factors.
