RCMP in Délı̨nę said a teenager from Ontario is facing a variety of charges, and investigators seized cash and drugs, after officers were called to the local grocery store Monday afternoon.

On Monday at about 1 p.m. officers were called to the grocery store over a reported disturbance. Police said when police arrived, the teen didn’t co-operate with officers, and was arrested and searched.

Officers found $9,735 in cash on him, and 110 grams of cannabis. Investigators searched the Délı̨nę home where the youth was reportedly staying. Inside, police found drug trafficking paraphernalia and a small bag of suspected cocaine.

The teenager faces a number of charges including possession of property obtained by crime, possession of a substance, possession of more than 30 grams of cannabis and obstructing a peace officer. He will be released from custody to an adult, RCMP said, and will be bound by a condition to not return to Délı̨nę, other than to appear in court.
