The province is providing more than $1 million to improve local programs and services in Simcoe North. Made possible through the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s capital grant stream, Simcoe North MPP Jill Dunlop’s office confirmed the funding will support 11 local non-profit organizations. The list includes the Orillia and Coldwater legions, the township of Ramara, the Chippewas of Rama First Nation and a handful of local leisure and education groups.

“Our local non-profit organizations are at the heart of what makes Simcoe North such a vibrant and caring place to live, bringing people together through programs, recreation, culture, and community services,” said Dunlop. “These investments will leave a lasting legacy by creating safer, more accessible, and more welcoming facilities that can continue serving our communities for years to come,” Dunlop said. The province says the investment will improve community spaces and expand access to local programming.
