SANDRA M STANWAY Brooks Bulletin Brooks RCMP, working with Medicine Hat ALERT, wrapped a drug trafficking investigation that started on Nov. 25, 2025, when police launched a targeted effort aimed at the individuals who were suspected of supplying drugs within the city. “Throughout the investigation police gathered evidence of drug trafficking activity and seized a quantity of cocaine. After investigators gathered sufficient evidence, a coordinated enforcement and arrest operation was initiated on June 12, 2026,” the release states.

Two of the accused, Savannah Selena Annie Stacey, 37, and Collin Carvery, 39, appeared in court last week and adjourned their matters to later dates. Stacey is charged with one count of trafficking in a controlled substance while Carvery is charged with two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance. A warrant remains outstanding for Tesfom Russom, 38, who was charged with two counts of trafficking of a controlled substance.

“This investigation demonstrates the commitment of the Brooks RCMP and our policing partners to disrupting the trafficking of illicit drugs in our community,” said Staff Sgt. Rob Harms, detachment commander. “Drug trafficking has a significant impact on community safety, and we will continue to target those responsible for distributing controlled substances in Brooks.”
