The Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organization (LSCO) has launched a new fundraiser with a personal touch. The organization’s donor mural campaign will support programs for seniors. Donors get to choose part of the mural.
Each $70 donation secures a tile that will feature a photo in honour or memory of a loved one. “Your generosity helps us continue providing vital programs, social connection and support for older adults in our community,” the LSCO says on its website. “Your photo becomes part of a lasting tribute displayed with pride.”
The tiles will be used to create a large mural at the LSCO entrance to celebrate the community. The goal is to raise $35,000. “The LSCO has struggled a little bit the last couple of years, financially,” said Kaitlynn Weaver, LSCO executive director.
“So, this is another way for us to fundraise to help support the ongoing operations and programs and services that we run here at the LSCO.” To donate, you can visit the LSCO website .
