Happiness Anytime, produced by two members of Jungle, is due September 25

Leon Bridges has announced a new, 12-track album and released precisely a third of it. Happiness Anytime, out September 25 via Columbia, is preceded today by “Light the Way,” “Tears of Joy,” “Illusion,” and “Your Love Is Electric.” Listen to all four below.

Bridges’ follow-up to 2024’s Leon is produced by J Lloyd-Watson and Lydia Kitto of British trio Jungle. Bassist Pino Palladino joined them in the studio. In a press release, Bridges said, “For me, happiness is not a feeling that you chase.

I want this album to be something that lingers with people and lingers in people's bones. There’s this feeling that we have to fix the problems of the world; you feel inadequate or it can be debilitating. My role is to be light.

I hope that comes across with this album.”
