Laverock A's keep rolling in North Bay Men's Baseball League action

Laverock roared out to a big early lead and never looked back in the only North Bay Men's Baseball League game on Monday nght

Article content The Laverock A’s started fast in their game at Veterans Field versus Canadore. The A’s opened the scoring in the first after Chris Dowdall doubled, scoring one run. Laverock A’s added two runs in the second after Clarke Heipel singled.

Laverock A’s added to their early lead in the top of the third inning when Reid Raslack singled, scoring one run, Matt Sookram doubled, scoring one run, and Marc Marchand singled, scoring two runs. Laverock A’s added two more runs in the top of the fourth inning on four hits. King Mong hit a solo home run to center field, and Chris Dowdall singled, scoring one run.

Chris Dowdall started the game for Laverock A’s. The pitcher surrendered one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out three and walking five. Mong and Marc Marchand each appeared in relief for Laverock A’s.

Laverock A’s amassed 12 hits in the game. Dowdall, Mong, and Marchand each collected two hits for Laverock A’s. Dowdall, Marchand, and Heipel each drove in two runs for Laverock A’s.
