Jones birdied three par-5s and bogeyed three par-4s to finish the day in sixth place at St. Boniface Golf Club.

Rory Neill of Winnipeg and Jordan Walford of Thunder Bay, Ont., both shot 69 to share the lead by one over Jay Doyle. Brandon’s Evan Nachtigall carded a 1-over 73 with five birdies and six bogeys to sit tied for seventh. Neepawa’s Hayden Delaloye (75) is tied for 20th.

Also, Shilo Country Club’s Brad Pardy shot 78 and is tied for 40th, Spence Mott of EVO Golf carded an 80 and is tied for 55th, Shilo’s Will Kinsman (82) is tied for 65th, Brayden Hamm of the Wheat City Golf Course shot 85 and is tied for 81st and Kolby Lavich of EVO Golf shot 87 and is tied for 93rd. » The Brandon Sun
