Jacob Ellsworth and Jessica Ott finished their school year by receiving a pair of major awards. Ellsworth and Ott were named the athletes of the year for Overview Education Centre in Glace Bay for the 2025-26 School Sport Nova Scotia season. The awards were presented to them before the end of the school year last month.

Ott claimed a pair of breaker award honours for A volleyball and slo-pitch, while also winning the most improved award for soccer and the SSNS exemplary participation award. Ellsworth won two breaker awards for AAA basketball and hockey.
