Greg Veltman announces Harrison council candidacy Published 11:50 am Monday, July 13, 2026 Harrison Hot Springs officially has its first candidate for council. Greg Veltman announced his candidacy on Thursday, July 9, via social media. Veltman is a certified integral associate coach and teaches undergraduate and graduate courses at Trinity Western University in Langley.

Veltman also worked for WorkBC in Agassiz as a facilitator and job developer until 2024. “Harrison has become home for our family,” Veltman said. “It’s where Andrea and I are raising our two young children, and we’re grateful for the people, relationships, and sense of community that make this village such a wonderful place to live.”

If elected, Veltman said he hopes to work with a council that is focused serving the community well. “I believe good local government begins by listening carefully, considering different perspectives, and making decisions that are fair, respectful, and grounded in the long-term well-being of our village,” Veltman said. “Listening is where good decisions begin, and I look forward to the conversations ahead.”

Veltman hopes to gather feedback from residents in the months ahead. “I’d really like to hear from residents. What issues matter most to you?”

Veltman said. “What do you think Harrison is doing well? Where do you think we could do better over the next four years?”
