One wildfire near Isadore Road and three more near Meadow Lake
Four new wildfire starts noted between Cache Creek and 100 Mile House Published 10:04 am Friday, July 17, 2026 A new wildfire has been discovered east of Marble Range Park between Cache Creek and 100 Mile House. According to the BC Wildfire Service (BCWS), the fire was found on Friday, July 17.
The blaze is sized at 1.1 hectares and is out of control. The latest update was at 8:47 a.m. on Friday. Located in the Cariboo Fire Centre, it is 2.1 km northwest of Isadore Road, according to the BCWS.
It is located roughly 18 km west of Highway 97, between Cache Creek and 100 Mile House. The wildfire service has assigned firefighting personnel and aviation resources to combat the blaze. The fire, number C40897, is suspected to have been caused by lightning.
Roughly 14 km north of the Isadore Road fire, three more small fire starts have been noted by the BCWS. The fires are all close to Meadow Lake, and numbered C40905, C40906 and C40907. They are all marked as out of control, 0.009 hectares and discovered on Friday, July 17.
