The Auburn Hills Police Department is reporting a fatal shooting over the weekend at Great Lakes Crossing Outlets in Michigan. On Saturday just before 5:30 p.m., police were patrolling the mall when they said they received reports of gunfire in the food court. They responded immediately, finding a 20-year-old man dead, a 19-year-old woman with non-life-threatening injuries, and a 22-year-old man, who they said is the accused and a concealed pistol license holder.
The 22-year-old was arrested and taken into custody and is reportedly cooperating with the investigation. Later, the man and another unknown man saw the accused in the food court common area and allegedly attacked him.
A physical fight between three men took place, then gunfire reportedly went off. After the scene was secured, police said the mall was evacuated and searched out of caution. No additional reports of injuries or shooters were made.
