Article content The Town of Edson shared a release on July 13 asking the public to assist the RCMP in identifying a suspect in a case of reported damage to a garbage can. According to the release, “suspicious noise” was reported near 55th Street and 6th Avenue in Edson on the morning of July 13. Recommended Videos “Witnesses saw an individual in a red hoodie, running away from the area, northbound on 55th St.,” the release reads.

“No further description or direction of travel is currently available.” The town described the damage to the garbage can as “significant.” The released asked locals to contact the Edson RCMP if they have dashcam footage, doorbell cameras or home security northbound from 55th St. and 6th Ave., or nearby.

The relevant time period is between around 8 and 9:30 a.m. “This investigation is still ongoing, and RCMP would like to extend gratitude to community members for their assistance thus far,” the release reads.
