DG Matrix appoints Deepak Thakkar as chief commercial officer

Thakkar will lead commercial strategy and customer engagement for the company’s Interport solid-state transformer platform. Thakkar brings over 25 years of experience in data center infrastructure.

He most recently served as Chief Commercial Officer for portfolio companies within Neos Partners’ data center thermal management practice. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Sales at Boyd Corporation, whose thermal management business was acquired by Eaton in a $9.5 billion transaction. He also served as President of Global Sales at Electrical Components International, which had a $2 billion exit.

Earlier in his career, Thakkar spent nearly a decade at Flex (NASDAQ:FLEX) as Vice President of Business Development, overseeing more than $2 billion in annual outsourced manufacturing revenue. The electronic equipment manufacturer, with a current market cap of $49.75 billion, has delivered a 160% return over the past year. The company states deployment timelines can be reduced from 18 to 24 months to approximately six months. As Chief Commercial Officer, Thakkar will build DG Matrix’s commercial organization and develop relationships with hyperscalers, colocation providers, and data center developers. He reports directly to CEO Haroon Inam. DG Matrix describes itself as a provider of solid-state transformer solutions for AI data centers and electrification applications.
