Const. Peter Kelly was charged as a result of a SIRT-NL investigation

A Corner Brook RNC officer charged with careless storage of a firearm wasn’t present when his matter was called in provincial court on Tuesday, July 14. The incident occurred while Kelly was on duty. While Kelly wasn’t present on Tuesday, his lawyer, Iain Hollett, appeared by phone on his behalf.

Hollett told the court that he was still waiting for disclosure from the Crown. Judge Lynn Coles set the matter over to Aug. 18. Kelly is currently on administrative duty.
