Carmen Kiener said the investigation into a suspected drug-trafficking ring in Chilliwack began in April of this year. Investigators determined that the operation also had connections to Abbotsford and Langley, Kiener said. She said three people were arrested on June 29, and search warrants were executed at several locations, including a residence on Glenmore Road in Abbotsford, a storage locker in Abbotsford and a residence on 202A Street in Langley.

Kiener said the busts turned up: 600 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 4.5 kilograms of suspected cocaine, 3.5 kilograms of suspected fentanyl, 1.1 kilograms of additional drugs, two guns, two vehicles and around $45,000 in Canadian currency. Missen has since been charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, two counts of possessing a firearm without a licence, and one count of possessing a firearm contrary to an order. No charges have been laid against the other two individuals at this time.

The Abbotsford Police Department, Langley RCMP and the Lower Mainland Integrated Response Team assisted in the investigation. Missen also faces separate charges – laid following his arrest on June 29 – related to a drug-trafficking investigation begun by the Abbotsford Police in April 2025. Several search warrants were also executed as part of that investigation, resulting in the seizure of drugs that included carfentanil, cocaine and crystal meth, as well as $60,000 in cash, body armour, a gun and several loaded magazines.

In relation to that investigation, Missen was charged with with six counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, as well as possession of a firearm contrary to an order, possession of a restricted or prohibited firearm, possession of a prohibited/restricted firearm with ammo, and driving while disqualified.
