A single-vehicle collision took out a light pole in Barrie Thursday.

A light post was snapped in two on Essa and Ardagh roads Thursday morning. A medical issue believed to have caused the single-vehicle collision in Barrie at around 10:15 a.m. Barrie police say a car veered into oncoming lanes before striking light the post and a transit sign at a bus stop near Ardagh Road.

A school bus driver saw the crash and offered assistance at the scene. The man and woman in their 60s were sent to hospital with minor injuries.
