BTS's Jung Kook, j-hope, and V dance to viral song “Gut Genug” on TikTok in various locations in Munich ahead of their tour stops in France

About a month ago, Duana sent me a text asking me, “Have you heard about du bist gut genug?” I tapped back a question mark, huh? Her reply: “ The new hit with the kids.

German. ” With a video of an impossibly catchy and borderline annoying beat. “Du bist gut genug”

= you are good enough and as Duana continued over text, it’s “such a sweet message in all the hearts of the 13 year olds”. So, like so many parents out there, she was hearing it over and over again at home because her kid and their friends were bumping it non-stop. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Sony Music West Africa (@sonymusic_wa) “Gut Genug” has been viral over the last few weeks but nowhere near it’s peak.

And now, it’s gotten its most significant boost, from the tweens to BTS. Because Jung Kook yesterday posted a TikTok with j-hope and V dancing to it in various locations from their latest tour stop in Munich and you know what happens when anyone from BTS posts anything. @jungkook 뮌헨 안녕 #bts #jhope #v #jungkook @BTS @hobipower @V dc: @Cale Brown ♬ Gut Genug (mit Blumengarten & Shirin David) - KITSCHKRIEG & Blumengarten & Shirin David

Almost 20 million views at the time of this writing and at least 50 of them are from me because BTS dancing will always be my kink. This is Cale Brown’s choreo but they’ve drenched their own sauce and swag all over it, and what makes it extra funny, at least for ARMY, is that they shot part of it at Eisbach River which was already in and of itself a viral situation over the weekend. Three members of the biggest band in the world on a massive sold-out world tour just casually cooling off by the water without fanfare among locals, jumping into the river and letting the current take them.

RM, Jin, Suga, Jin, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook will play two shows starting Friday night before joining Madonna, Shakira, and Justin Bieber as headliners at the FIFA World Cup halftime show on Sunday in East Rutherford.

After that they’ll have a two week break before resuming shows in North America. As for “Gut Genug”, Rolling Stone two weeks ago predicted it would be the Song of the Summer even though it probably still isn’t anywhere near the peak. So if it hasn’t yet taken over your algorithm, it’s only a matter of time.
