Annual barbecue competition will feature 5 ‘ribbers’ competing for awards

Bone appétit! Chilliwack Ribfest returns this summer Published 1:30 pm Sunday, July 12, 2026 Meat lovers will unite when a barbecue festival returns to Chilliwack this summer. Chilliwack Ribfest is coming back to Vedder Park July 24-26 and will feature five award-winning ‘ribbers’: Rusty’s BBQ, Guerilla Q, Prairie Smoke N’ Spice, Truckin’ BBQ, and Gator BBQ.

They will battle it out for the People’s Choice Rib Champion award, plus there are awards for best sauce, best ribs, and best in show. In addition to the low-and-slow barbecue options, there will also be local food trucks, artisan vendors, a site-wide beverage garden, live entertainment, and activities for people of all ages. This will be the fourth year the event has been in Chilliwack and it is hosted by the Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival.

It’s at Vedder Park (45450 Petawawa Rd.) and hours are Friday (July 24) from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday (July 25) from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday (July 26) from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is by donation, with proceeds supporting the Chilliwack Huskers. For more, go to chilliwackribfest.ca.
