Source by clicking here. Right-hander Aaron Civale has now been designated for assignment twice since his trade request from the Milwaukee Brewers last June. After making 16 appearances for the Athletics, Civale was DFA'd by the AL West organization on Wednesday. He posted an ugly 5.82 ERA in 74.2 innings. The 31-year-old was DFA'd last summer too, with the Chicago White Sox cutting him loose after just 13 outings following the trade from the Brewers. Civale cleared waivers and was subsequently released by the White Sox, meaning none of the 29 other big league clubs were interested in his services. "Civale’s DFA makes for a disappointing end to his $6MM free agent deal.
