‘75 minutes of pure fun’: Clue production takes over Jubilee

Based off of the 1985 film and board game, Broadway Across Canada will be running its production of Clue at the Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium until Sunday.

Based off of the 1985 film and board game, Broadway Across Canada will be running its production of Clue at the Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium until Sunday. “It’s really truly 75 minutes – no intermission – of just pure laughter and fun,” said actor Madeline Raube who plays Mrs. Peacock. “And we as a cast are having the best time.”

Raube said the production takes a lot of inspiration from the film. “If you’ve watched the movie, you’ll be really, really happy to see that come to life ... A lot of physical comedy, a lot of spit takes and slaps and falling and fainting,” said Raube.

Zoie Tannous who plays Yvette said there is something for everyone in the production. “Depending on what kind of humour you have, there is something to latch onto for everyone and all ages,” said the actor. The production, which started touring in September, just made it past their 250th show Tuesday, and they don’t have plans to stop anytime soon.

“It is such a blast,” said Sarah MacKenzie-Baron who plays Mrs. White. “We get on a moving train and we do not stop.” The murder mystery play runs at the Jubilee from July 14 to 19.
