100 Mile House ER closed all day Monday, Tuesday Published 9:14 am Monday, July 13, 2026 The 100 Mile District General Hospital’s emergency department will be closed all day on Monday, July 13 and Tuesday, July 14. Interior Health put out a notice on Sunday, July 12, notifying the public of the pending ER closures.

The ER will be closed for 13 hours each day, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. During this time, all other inpatient services will remain available. Emergency department services are available at the Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake. These closures mark the 24th and 25th times this year the ER has been temporarily closed.

“Interior Health recognizes that these changes may have a significant impact on the community and that transparent notification is important. Our teams remain committed to working to cover these shifts right up to the day of each potential service interruption,” IH stated. “If coverage is secured and an interruption is avoided, we will provide an update to the community.”

Anyone in need of life-threatening emergency care, for symptoms such as chest pains, difficulty breathing and severe bleeding, should always call 911 for transport to the nearest available and appropriate facility. “Anyone unsure whether an emergency room visit is warranted can call HealthLink BC at 811, or visit www.HealthLinkBC.ca for non-emergency health information from nurses, dietitians and pharmacists 24 hours a day, seven days per week,” IH said.
